Junior Director of Rep Cricket Coaching

We are very pleased and excited to announce that we have appointed Paul Montgomery as our Director of Coaching for our FTGDCA junior representative cricket program this season.

​

Paul has an extensive cricket background having spent the past 20 years working in various roles for Cricket Victoria which included;

 

Coaching & Talent Development Specialist (Greater Southern Country)

Oversight of coach development, player development and talent identification within the Gippsland, Southern Metro and South East Country regions.

CV Coach Development Manager

Responsibility for all Cricket Coach Accreditation’s up to Representative Level in Victoria,

Metro Game Development Manager

Responsibility for all Cricket Coach Accreditation up to Representative Level in Victoria and for the ongoing education of all Coaches in Victoria done mainly via State and Regional Seminar Series. This involved liaison with Cricket Australia, along with the other States & Territories, as part of the National Education & Training Group

Paul also had a club career that included coaching at Premier club Ringwood. Paul coached Ringwood to its maiden First XI premiership win in 2007/08 before backing it up with another premiership the following summer.

We look forward to working with Paul who will assist us in identifying, selecting, and preparing our representative coaches for the VMCU Carnival.
